Spurn

Hello. Now I have to tell you that I'm a bit rusty on the proper birding front and have never been sharp-as-fuck with calls and songs. With this info, here's my thoroughly rivetting report from my day at Spurn: Ooooooooh, lots of Grey Plover on the Humber. Woooooooo, Lesser Whitethroat showing very nicely indeed, thankyou. Ahhhhhhhhhh, Tree Pipit just south of the Warren. Nurrrrrrrrrr, small finch flying south off the warren over the river.........calling.............hang on I know that call...............erm................oh fuck, what is it?............it's familiar but I'm as thick as pig shit...............come on brain, tiny finch going South at the Warren late April?............Serin! Fuck me, Serin! Was it? Serin? Well? Oh fuck knows, I don't fucking know. It seemed to go down just near New Road, better go have a look at this. Walking north was a Spurn regular, Andy. "You didn't just have a Serin go south did you?"I enquired. "No but I did have a Siskin". What a dopey cunt I am.
